I would like to know what was your idea when you did it, on what you want people to focus on. I took Malcom X as subject for my essay and i would like to focus on your caricature to talk about which character he was and how he was seen.

Kylinn: Thank you for the thoughtful note. Yes, I am a fan of Malcolm X and wanted to give him a proper caricature/illustration with this project. It was done when Spike Lee’s movie (1991) was released. The artwork appeared along with a newspaper article. As you probably already know, he was a strong leader and complicated man. I have read interesting reviews of the new book, I may just have to pick it up, perhaps you should too. Good luck! – KGJ
